Math: We started off Unit 4 in math with looking at the thermometer. We have been discussing how there are two different units to measure temperature with (Fahrenheit and Celcius) and we all think it is annoying that there are two different ones! :) We are slowly moving into two-digit addition, so PLEASE be sure to practice math facts at home. I know the math facts are getting harder, but there are fewer and fewer students passing their timed test each week.
Social Studies: We continued looking at colonial life during our social studies time. We discussed how many colonists came for freedom, but then we discussed how it was ironic that they partook in slavery. We discussed what it meant to be "free" and how even though n
Writing: We have had few little time to go into the computer lab to try the Comic Creator, but have been practicing and discussing it in class. The kids will start writing their own comics by hand this upcoming week!
Superstar of the Week: Our superstar of the week is Anika this upcoming week (she didn't get a full week so we are extending her time!)
