Math: This past week, we focused predominantly on 2-digit addition and subtraction. Many of the students were struggling and seemed to have needed some extra practice. We will continue to practice different problems until the students feel comfortable doing these type of operations.

Math Facts: You should have received a handout for a website called XtraMath. This is a website that helps students practice their math facts. If your child is getting bored with just using flashcards everyday, this website could be used in place of flashcards for daily practice. Once again, the website is www.xtramath.org. If you need login information once again, please let me know. I have set up an individual account for each of the children so that I can see their progress as well.
Social Studies: We are slowly finishing Revolutionary War on Wednesday. The students have been summarizing the book and have a better understanding of George Washington's role in the war. We will continue to learn about the events that lead up to the Revolutionary War and the different people involved.
Writing: The students are finishing their comic books one by one. We will not have the time to celebrate our completed comics, but we will be sure to when we get back from break. The students have done awesome in both their storytelling through words and pictures!
